I always said to myself that when we finally moved into our home, I’d get back on Instagram to document that process. It just so happened that the move coincided perfectly with my Substack Summer Break and my world opened up enough to be on the app just like I was years ago. As you’re reading this, I’ll be one week into the routine of deleting the app and returning every Friday for the foreseeable future— something I didn’t settle on until the middle of my experiment. I always think it’s best to reflect on things while they’re fresh so grab a cup of coffee and settle in when you can read, and really read, the roller coaster that was my first month back on Instagram after nearly three years away.

This post is long. Longer than I wanted it to be, but next week will be light and easy so don’t let it scare you.

In This Post:

+ “There was a subtle but undeniable low hum of attention—my attention to it and my desire for attention from it.” Giving you the real and raw as always.
+ The perfect playlist for the rest of summer
+ The grain-free peach cobbler you’ll want to devour this weekend
