No. 113: The Ultimate Holiday Gift Guide 2024 || All the Niches Curated to Become Your One Stop Shop
and they're really cute, too.
It’s here, it’s here! I was talking with my sister yesterday about the ridiculousness of gift guides. People are not spending money. People are scrolling through hundreds of gift guides a day. People are exhausted and frustrated and bored and lonely—but for whatever reason, I can’t ever not put weeks into these things. It’s just in my chemical make up, it’s in my bones. I want to be helpful and I want to make things beautiful which is why gift guides are always my bread and butter.
There are splurgey things woven in with super cost effective things, there are niche things woven in with crowd favorites. All the guides will lead you to my LTK shop where there are even more gift guides including a board with $50 and under gifts for him and for her if you want to skip straight to the less pricey things. Truly, there’s something for everyone on this list and it would be such a gift to me if you would share this guide, on Instagram in a text to a friend or on a carving on a tree, if you find it to be helpful. Or to be a dose of Friday morning delight.
Before we dive in, today’s post is sponsored by my long-time favorite stationery brand, Sugar Paper. Long before Sugar Paper was collaborating with Target, I had found the shop in L.A and was shipping their wrapping paper to Virginia to stock up on for the most special of gifts. I’m loyal to them forever and I’m so excited they’ve given me a discount code for you guys to get an early jump (nearly two weeks early!) on their Black Friday Sale. This means your wrapping paper and stationery will arrive just in time to get to your elf duties. Use GOLDSTANDARD15 for 15% off your purchase—happy shopping!
This post is, of course, too long for email so click “View More” if it cuts off in the end or just click to view it on Substack right here instead. When you click the link under each gift guide, it will take you to a board with even more items for each theme. In other words, you’re set, friend.

The linen bottle cover feels like such a practical gift to give a host because you know they’ll be able to use it again. Plus, the textile is a favorite of mine.
I’m a bit obsessed with splatter pottery right now as well as reds and pinks so the splatter pedestal bowl is everything my dreams are made of.

I get more questions about my match cloche than just about anything else so I’ve included the exact one I have. This gifted with a beautiful candles is a great move.
The Levain gift box absolutely wins. The cookie people stand in line down the block for in NYC delivered to your door with tea and a blanket? You kiddin’ me?

I actually have a different iPhone wristlet strap from the same brand on my own wishlist because I’ve seen them on some of the coolest people I know and I’ve been influenced.
I have to admit—I lost the ear cuff I linked here and am too guilty to re-purchase so I can speak from experience in saying, it makes the absolute most perfect gift. Especially as someone who only has one piercing in each ear, this made me feel next level.

That striped canvas tote has been on my to-purchase list for so long and as a mom who is constantly carting library books, snacks, homework and everything in between, my canvas totes need an upgrade.
You know chef Hugh loves a good robe and this incredible, super cozy robe is the one I’m wearing in my dreams.
The sourdough slicer is absolutely at the top of the list. It’s almost sold out many places so I’d act fast.

The Amazon heated massager has tens of thousands of great reviews because it genuinely is like having a massage on hand at all times. I’ve loved ours for years and for less than $50, it cannot be beat.
The Beast Blender is a favorite for so many and I find it stunning enough to make the perfect gift for anyone who mentions smoothies and protein shakes on the regular

I’ve used my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer at least weekly for a decade so I’d love to upgrade the bowl to this gorgeous white ceramic mixer bowl. I think anyone who regularly bakes feels the same.
A giftcard to Gold Belly is truly a fool-proof, absolutely top tier gift. Being able to shop directly from the best restaurants in the country is something I still can’t wrap my head around, but whenever my vegan ice cream from New York or grain free desserts from L.A arrive, it feels like Christmas and my Birthday all in one. It’s the best gift ever, in my eyes.

The Custom Photo Album takes some work on your part, but O consistently loves when I make him a little album to document the year or a special thing we experienced. It’s the highest quality photo book on the market and feels so special.
The Ultimate Foot Massager has been raved about by just about everybody and I can’t think of anything men unanimously want more than a foot rub.

The Garmin Watch remains O’s favorite tangible gift ever and as a former pro-athlete, that’s really saying something. It’s a splurge but he values it even more than his Oura ring—also saying something considering he’s obsessed with that. Here’s a pared down version that’s less expensive and still incredible.
The Therabody Leg Recovery is an investment but I promise you, it’s like a lifeline for your legs. He’ll be a brand new man.
The Boxing Gloves are from a brand we shop from personally—Modest Vintage Player. Everything is absolutely gorgeous which is rare when it comes to boxing items. O is a legit boxer and finds the gloves to be too “precious”, but for occasional use (or for me) these are a favorite.

The North Face Puffer might just be the coolest coat I’ve seen in a very long time. It’s effortless, warm, and camo is a neutral.
You know my obsession with the thermos—this one is the thermos we own and love.

There are so many things to highlight here, but the library pretend play kit, wooden toy telephone and custom “I Spy Me” books are a standout to me. I’ve never seen an art easel station quite so sweet and the activity mats are what my own girls are getting for Christmas since they’re endlessly tumbling and scaring me on the hard woods.

We absolutely love the custom, “Where Are You” books and have made them for a couple of the kids while making the custom name books by the brand for other kids. I love the “grow with me” white playroom table as a train track table or lego table. The legs are adjustable so it can sit low to the floor or raise up as they get older.
The Yoto music player is going to be under our tree this year because I love the ability for kids to play their own audiobooks and music without any technology since we’r ea very low-tech household.
The Paper & Plan Co. Kids Playtime Pads make for the best imaginary play prompt in our house.

Teens are so fun to shop for. The cozy kindle cover made by a small shop and the screen-free digital camera might be the items I’m most excited for in the top section—she’ll likely be most excited for the Skinny Confidential Ice Roller and the Little Angels which are a weird, random phenomenon teens are collecting.
The literary clock and tetris keychain make for such a specific, fun gift.
Some items in these guides are affiliate links which means I may earn a comission from the brand at no cost to you if you make a purchase. Thank you for allowing me to do what I do.
I’d love to hear your favorite guide because I’m nosey and forever documenting data. I personally am slightly partial to the hostess board, the foodie board and the fitness obsessed guy board—it’s gotta be the colors, surely? I’m currently working on simple Amazon boards in my storefront if you’re an Amazon exclusive person so keep an eye out there, too. I’ll skimp on the usual sections because I’m aware this is the longest newsletter of all time, but I’ll be back in your inboxes on Sunday and you can catch up on recommendations in these letters if you’re itching for them:
Have a beautiful weekend, friends!
Jill! These are *actually* so good! So many gift guides are just white noise to me, but these are special and so apparently intentionally curated. Thank you!
Love these!!! The detailed Men’s lists are especially excellent/needed. Mens gifts are hard & i feel like gift guides rarely get it right.
Also loved the kids, and hostess guides. Lovely all round (from another data obsessive).
