Happy 30th edition of the gold standard, friends! Thirty isn’t a big number, really. Thirty m&ms is barely enough to sprinkle over ice cream. Thirty pennies can’t even buy you two tootsie rolls at the country store. But thirty of these? That represents a whole lot of fringe hours. Time tucked away writing in early mornings and late evenings. Working through nap-times and football practices—a whole first trimester and nearly an entire second. We’ve been through a lot, you and I, and I’m so grateful you choose to open up this letter and read it week after week.

To change things up a bit for this marker, I announced we’d be doing a Q&A rather than the typical email format. Since a few of you requested it be podcast style (you are my people, after all) I recorded an easy breezy episode with the intro and outro music of the good as gold podcast because I’m consistent like that.

We’re going to talk about topics ranging from budgeting and what hair favorites most lately to what to do when you and your spouse just can’t seem to make sex happen. Admittedly, I spent a teensy bit too much time on a few of them, but that’s the beauty of having this on Substack. Whether you listen to this on a walk, a solo drive, a kitchen cleaning session or in the shower—I hope you enjoy. Oh, and if you thought I’d be able to do a rapid-fire Q&A…you don’t know me well enough yet.
