I’m three hours into a drive down to Houston (yes, arriving a few hours before Hurricane Beryl 😅) so this one will be short and sweet. We celebrated Enakhe and my niece Michal yesterday in a veggie themed party for our two peas in a pod. It was the most casual post nap party with our family and close friends with Hutchins barbecue and a trio of homemade cakes but something about it felt extra special. I know there are a few contributing factors— the first birthday of it all and the first party in the home we built together—but there’s something else undetectable that made it that little bit more magical.

We moved the dining table into the sunroom to take full advantage of everyone being together and I’m so glad we did. This table was full for pretty much the full duration of the party (even though the sun beats down like the Sahara in late afternoon.)
