I don’t drink alcohol so I put our fancy glassware to use with smoothies and protein shakes. It’s the little things.

This week was a long blur filled with basketball practices, homework, meal making, meetings and a sweet birthday party for my brother-in-law that I have zero photos of. One day I’ll have a floor length mirror in an area that isn’t in the middle of Enakhe’s toys and my outfit photos will be consistent and predictable. Until then—you get these:

you know this recipe, friends. ‘Healthier Homemade Hamburger Helper.’ I doubled it to make sure there was enough for leftovers and used up all the zuchinni and gluten free pasta we had. I made this after church as the perfect end to a freezing, rainy day.

Listen, I know this sauce looks absolutely repulsive but it’s divine. I love a quick burger bowl on a basketball practice night. My go-to turkey burgers made thie even faster. I put tater tots in the kids’ bowls and topped with my burger sauce which is a concoction of avocado oil mayo, ketchup, diced bread & butter pickle, diced onion and a little coconut sugar. Add some tomato and cucumber and whatever else you want on your burger and you’re in for a good time.

my friend had a baby recently so I dropped off my favorite meal to deliver—carnitas with tortillas, pico de gallo, sour cream, cheese, tortilla chips, guacamole and vegan ice cream cones with some fun jeni’s or van leeuwen ice cream. I doubled the carnitas and kept 1/3 of it so we could eat it a couple days after.

Four or Five years with the love of my life and I’ll never get over how giddy I am when this box shows up on my doorstep a few times a year. What a delight to have delicious gluten-free sourdough at my fingertips. (I much prefer the rolls over the loaves, for any first time purchasers.)

if you live in Dallas or Austin, you know the angel’s chorus singing. I downed a decaf vanilla half moon latte with almond milk on my way to pick up my girls’ from a cousin sleepover and it was the stuff of Saturday morning dreams.

Short and sweet this week…because entire weeks get away from me sometimes. I’ll see you Friday, friends.
