A spring break pause

This week was our Spring Break and while the meals and outfits didn’t stop, I took a welcomed break from documenting them. O and I got to sneak away for a day date (update: I’m now obsessed with the Dune series—who knew?!) and smoothies were our first stop. The kids had their own Spring Baking Championship and decorated “smash cake” size cakes I baked and crumb coated, I made a million of my staple AIP meals over and over again and it felt like I spent half of break in the kitchen dirtying it and cleaning it.

I wore many a sweatsuit for work and chill time at home, but wore outfits I loved for meetings, appointments, a birthday party and our day date. Nothing you haven’t seen before and nothing you won’t see again. It was a beautiful week.

(except that E is cutting his two front teeth and for anyone who knows the struggle, prayers up for me. I remember sleep fondly.) I’ll see you Friday, friends.

five minutes between the babysitter arriving and needing to leave gave me enough time for glasses, eyebrows, edges and a bun the size of my head—my perfect movie theater set up.
