Whelp, a month ago I announced the June Break with elation and here we are now at the end. I said I’d be back in your inboxes every Sunday but after spending the first weekend of my break split between track meets and family events, I decided I was going to function in faith rather than fear and just let myself rest. Friends, it was delightful.

I know things in the world are bizarre right now. I myself find a way to shout, “in this economy?!” at least once a day. Paying for subscriptions, even for subscriptions I absolutely adore and look forward to with Christmas Morning level anticipation, feels like a stretch that might not be manageable. I understand it wholly. To be honest, I haven’t checked my stats since I sent off the last email a month ago. I haven’t checked how many readers unsubscribed or cancelled paid subscriptions because it’s not healthy for me after a break, but for those of you reading this I’m so thrilled to be back in your inbox. I write out content (or in today’s case, film videos) picturing I’m talking directly to you. Across the table with coffee in hand, on the couch with the blanket you know I love far too much, right there with you.

So thank you for staying right here with me and encouraging rest, health, balance and peace. I know it’s the 4th of July, I know we all have exciting weekends ahead, but I wanted to at least catch up and share all the favorites that made June that much more delicious.
