This week was full to the brim. Meet the Teacher and the Back to School Carnival, my last vein ablation, prepping the kids scalp and hair for fresh braids, getting ahead on meal prepping, continuing to unpack, date night, first day of school, Lema’s first football game and I’m sure I’m forgetting something. Phew, we made it. As a reminder, every outfit I wear needs to hide my thigh-high compression stockings hence the theme of everything being oversized and long despite the heat. (Let’s be real, that’s always the theme.)

similar denim shirt. similar wide leg white pants.

Thursday: We always walk the kids into the classroom on their first day so it was a bright and early one. This is a no-brainer outfit formula for me—oversized on oversized is something I don’t like to do all the time because I think balanced proportions are much more flattering, but who needs to flatter their body all the time?

banana republic cardigan (sold out), old trousers, tan sambas.

Friday: I wore this Adanola sweatsuit all day but changed into this outfit for date night. Again, movies call for either actual sweats and pajamas or a cute outfit that better feel exactly like them and this was a 10/10 choice.
