Coming home from vacation on a Monday night always means the rest of the week is for catching up. This week was no exception, that’s for sure. It’s a little light on outfits and meals but there’s plenty more where that came from in past Sunday letters so head back and sort through if you need meal or outfit planning inspiration this week.
Tuesday and Wednesday Night: I wore this for a couple hours on Tuesday night for a girls night at my friends house making our meal plans and swapping ideas for the all the back to school season get-the-family-fed things. The next day, there was a wild spider on the boxes in my closet so I kept this on all through the next day and for sister night at Jackie’s. Thats real.
Thursday: this was my outfit for day date with Nana girl. I’m obsessed with these jeans but heads up, I think they run a little big so I’d size down or at the very least, take your typical size.
Friday: I wore this to meet up for pizza and ice cream in downtown McKinney and even though it was so hot outside (100°), inside had the AC pumpin and the linen skirt kept me cool. I’m a long sleeve gal for life and nothing keeps me from them.
Saturday: we had Lema’s last summer basketball game of the season, I baked for the majority of the day and ran Keogena to a birthday party at our friends in the evening.
You know this healthy homemade hamburger helper is a frequent flyer in my kitchen.
The kids’ favorite breakfast—a Texas version of English breakfast—shows up often
Our friend is from Afghanistan and I’m trying to learn her recipes since they’re extremely vegan friendly while being full of flavor. This potato curry is something that will take many more practices to perfect, but O is loving it.
O’s birthday request was a frankencake for his fight night with the brothers. I made his four favorite cakes and sliced each of them to make one vegan super cake—red velvet, funfetti, chocolate and carrot. This was the aftermath and leftover compilation. Yes, my dad accidentally broke the cake plate.
