I have an announcement I’ve been waiting well over a year to share on Friday, friends, and I couldn’t be more excited! But today, I’m here with a quick midweek request.

We’re just a few days away from the end of Q1 of this year (I know, right) and it feels like the perfect time to check in with this poll. I’ve written a weekly newsletter for four years now and it has lived here as the gold standard for over a year and a half. I still can’t believe it sometimes. I know some of you have been here for years reading every single one of them and for some of you, this is your first letter. In all those years, I’ve yet to have a place for mass feedback and now is absolutely the right time to check in and make space for you to voice your opinion as part of this community. I value your time more than you know so I have just a quick five question poll you can fill out before a single cube in your iced latte melts. As an incentive—because I know polls can be the worst, each person who participates will be entered to win a $75 Amazon gift card on Friday, March 29th.

This is a safe space. I’m looking for tell-it-to-me-straight responses and I trust this strong, intelligent group of women (and you, husband) has the grace and eloquence to be real. I’m genuinely giddy waiting for these responses even if they’re harsh.

The fact that it’s my job to make the gold standard a place we continue to love and consider our favorite slice of friday morning delight isn’t lost on me. It’s hard work and it’s work that weighs on me at times, but it’s beautiful work.
