We built a house last year and the vast majority of my reading was middle grade fiction. Lots of Roald Dahl, the Penderwicks series, the Lemoncello series, etc. So I didn’t stop reading, but my reading changed a lot. I definitely didn’t have brain space for the drama and intensity of adult fiction, and kids’ books fit the bill. Added bonus was that I was reading along with my daughter or reading her recommendations which has been such a sweet thing for both of us.💜

Ahh so many good ones! If you haven't yet read the Vanderbeekers, you two might love it! One of my and my daughter's very favorite series from last year :)

Ahh I haven't thought about Primally Pure in a few years! Thanks for the reminder about their lip balm!

Also most definitely in a reading slump! My husband and I are making our way through Shark Tank, it’s light and fun 🤩 As far as movies go, we like to pick a director and work our way through his or her films. We just finished with the films of Alexander Payne and I LOVED The Holdovers (10/10 recommend!) Also in a podcast slump, with a one and two year old I’ve been craving silence or light worship music hah 😆 hope you have a great weekend, Jill ❤️
