First of all, for those who were asking about when pre-order for my book Left Out begins—it’s officially available for pre-order NOW! Thank you so much for your support and excitement, friends!
This opening photo is really the one that sums this week up. It doesn’t take an eagle-eye to point out the three dry spit up spots on my hoodie or the insane pilling on the legging fabric between my postpartum thighs. For everyone who always asks how I keep my clothes “so perfect,” I laugh. I’m not rolling around the mud in a prom dress or anything, but don’t take my clothes too seriously and if at the end of the day I have blood, mud, smeared food, grass or mystery mess on my clothes then it just means I lived. And that I’m extra grateful for this stain spray. Also, I’m reaching for my glasses heavily lately because my March allergy eyes feel like they have poison ivy.
Endless house visits—this is coat one of Lema’s bedroom. Old Zara dress.
Ancient Rag & Bone crewneck and enormous postpartum denim. I tied a ribbon through the back loops of the jeans so they would stay up for a trip to Barnes & Noble with Z and E
Prep kitchen waiting for paint. Old J.Crew knit (linked a ton here) and my favorite Nili Lotan pants.
Sweater was a sample for merch. I went another direction because she isn’t cozy but the fit is cool. Spill-proof water bottle is now attached to me at all times.
Old ThirtyYears set—though they apparently don’t do sweats anymore
my chia-pudding-every-Sunday routine is a joy.
The best AIP pancake mix I’ve ever found has been a life saver for me
I tried out Paleo On The Go for the first time this week and while it took a few tries to arrive frozen, the AIP meals were delicious and I’ll probably do it once a month.
Blueberry oatmeal for the kids. Cook the oats with frozen blueberries mixed in and everyone loves the flavor and the purple.
Not pretty and not particularly delicious but these turkey burgers are still a lifeline every week.
I leave town today so I always prep meals and snacks for when I’m away. O is an incredibly capable and willing human so it’s not necessary, but I want to make things easier when there’s a way so I will always do this ritual. Favorite chili and tikka masala for the kids and vegan Broccoli soup for O are in the fridge ready for re-heating.
and to end the week- driveway picnic with the neighbors called for gluten-free corn dogs and sweet potato fries thrown in the air fryer. Not a green thing in sight.
Your green smoothie looks amazing 😍 do you have a go to recipe? I’m also curious about how you discovered your diet/overall plan/meds for Hashimotos. I know you don’t normally do AIP…have you ever written a post about your thyroid journey? I was diagnosed a few months back and am pregnant with my 2nd now. Thanks for all the amazing content! ❤️
Just pre-ordered the book!!! So excited to have it in our home!! ☺️
